Katherine is the founder of The CiaoItalia Projects and has been the driving force behind our mission to promote cultural understanding through the arts and languages. Her passion for literature and her translation skills mark her as a leader in multiculturalism. With over 30 years of experience in the arts and education, Katherine brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization. As our program director, she oversees all of our events and educational programs. With a background in cultural anthropology and years of experience in event planning, Katherine is passionate about creating meaningful and engaging experiences for our community.
Dante Alighieri the Itinerant statue by artist Lucia Serafini donated to CiaoItaliaPro, and used as a "rolling prize" to highlight Italian excellence, is the mascot in memory of our language and culture.

Emilia is available for teaching as well as textbook and/or document editing in English, Italian and Spanish.
Sheryl has an international background and extensive travelling experience. She obtained a Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia (UVA) in Education and has an Italian language teacher certification . She participated in testing preparation project for the Italian exams. Aside from the meeting the necessary qualifications to te
Sheryl has an international background and extensive travelling experience. She obtained a Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia (UVA) in Education and has an Italian language teacher certification . She participated in testing preparation project for the Italian exams. Aside from the meeting the necessary qualifications to teach Spanish at a collegiate level, she also has years of experience in teaching at the university level in the USA. Educated in Buenos Aires, Argentina; she also spent time studying in Alicante, Spain furthering her understanding of diverse Spanish dialects. In Italy she studied in Perugia and perfected her Italian. Her passion for languages also in translation and interpreting techniques.

She has extensive experience in northern Italy both private and public schools as well as being a course developer for tailored courses at variou
As our program director, Mary Ann oversees all of our planning events and educational programs. Her degree in Italian and Spanish from USF, and her TESOL Certification from Atlanta, Georgia. She has extensive experience in northern Italy both private and public schools as well as being a course developer for tailored courses at various language levels using the Active Learning Method. This allows for real life situational learning and gives the student the "thought autonomy."
Mary Ann is passionate and seeks to help the community by interacting in numerous cultural activities, among many cooking and ceramics.
Carla is a dedicated teacher with expertise in promoting language communication and understanding diversity. Her 30+ years career in Middle School education include English, Latin, German, ancient Greek and Italian. She is a counsellor for CiaoItaliaPro in her understanding of social aspects of the Italian territory.
Founded in 2018, The CiaoItalia Projects has been a cornerstone of the community for over 15 years. We have provided a space for cultural events, art exhibits, and educational programs for all ages.
Our network of professors, universities and professionals in the fields of art, music, culinary, science and more can be the spark to a meeting of ideas ready at the word go!

Our Online Exclusive Courses and Services
ADULTS - 18+
Each STEP is designed for you. You can choose to work individually or in a small formed group of your level.
Choose your speed – intense or regular.
STEPS are minimum 10 hours plus enrollment fee $20
Teachers can rotate to accommodate your schedule.
ENGLISH AND ITALIAN
1) Basic, intermediate, advanced. Grammar and conversation skills.
$25 per hour
2) Professional needs- $35 per hour
3) MUSIC and language – opera, rock, lyrics, country or your favorite. Focuses on meaning, pronunciation and phonetics. $30 per hour
4) COOKING in Target language – local recipes $30 per hour
4) ESP – English Specific Purposes $50 per hour (ex. literature textual analysis)
5) Editing and translation – evaluated individually
6) Networking consultation – FREE – one hour
7) Networking public relations and coordination$500 flat fee, emails and travel excluded.
SPANISH, PORTUGUESE, GERMAN, LATIN AND GREEK are also available for same STEPS upon request.
With parent presence and consent:
